This important legislation allows retired PSPRS firefighters diagnosed with occupational cancer to continue opting into cancer insurance coverage further into retirement. Thank you for supporting firefighters and recognizing the unique health risks we face long after our last shift.**Great news from the Capitol today!** Thanks to the hard work of your #PFFAZ legislative team, HB 2689 has been signed into law by the governor. This new law enables retired PSPRS firefighters diagnosed with occupational cancer to continue to opt into cancer insurance coverage later into retirement.
